The Sales Representative holds the responsibility of actively promoting and selling the complete range of products offered by Omega Laboratories and Juno Pharmaceuticals to various stakeholders, including physicians, pharmacies, distributors, chain stores, managed care organizations, and educational institutions within a specified geographical area (Ontario & Western territories). These sales interactions will follow a predetermined schedule, with the primary objective of achieving or surpassing the yearly sales targets.
The Sales Representative will develop sales strategies by analyzing and tracking customer buying habits in addition to building strong relationships with them. This includes identifying the needs of (physicians, nurses, business partners.) and informing them about our products and services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND PRIMARY DUTIES
• Cultivate and nurture professional and interpersonal relationships with all clienteles.
• Proactively identify new business prospects and establish fresh accounts.
• Foster and expand connections with all client personnel involved in Juno/Omega product interactions.
• Record daily updates on all mandated work activities.
• Act as a representative of the company at local, regional, and occasionally national allergy society association gatherings and medical conferences, as requested.
• Adhere to Travel and Entertainment Expense Guidelines and stay within allocated budgets.
• Regularly visit customers within our territory (Ontario & Western territories) and the rest of Canada as required.
• Execute all assigned "marketing campaigns" as directed by the Head of Allergy or the leadership committee at Juno/Omega.
• Deliver presentations during Regional/National sales meetings when designated to do so.
• Create a strategic business plan to convert accounts from competitors.
• Provide sales status reports to the Head of Allergy and the Sales/Marketing Department.
• Ensure compliance with reporting requirements in accordance with relevant provincial and federal regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS / SKILLS
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or Life Sciences is mandatory, or relevant sales and marketing experience can be substituted in lieu of the degree requirement.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in pharmaceutical sales.
• Proficiency in technical and scientific knowledge is essential for effective customer engagement.
• Outstanding communication skills in English, encompassing both written and verbal proficiency, are vital for seamless interaction with physicians and para-medical personnel.
• A successful track record of achievement driven by self-motivation.
• The ability to comprehensively analyze statistical data, market dynamics, and intricate issues and subsequently relay this information to the Head of Allergy is crucial.
• The capacity to identify issues and propose solutions or corrective actions to senior leadership.
• Good proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• A keen attention to detail, adept multitasking abilities, and efficient time management skills.
• The role involves extended periods of both sitting and standing. Moderate travel, accounting for 30-40% of work responsibilities, is expected.
• Residency in Ontario is mandatory.
